(A guest post, written by my husband, Kevin)
A lot of people ask what it is like to be married to the Organized Mom.
Well, I can say it is pretty amazing.
I often come home from school and walk through the house to see what her amazing talents have touched that day. One day in particular I came home and was getting dinner ready. I went down to our pantry to get some beans and our pantry was completely reorganized. She always keeps me on my toes.
Laura keeps insisting to me that I create my own blog, The Organized Dad Life, as I also adhere to an organized life. I told her I would write a guest post to see if I have a future as blogger.

Battery Organization
One of my biggest pet peeves is being unable to find things that I need. My garage is pretty organized but one part needed reorganizing: my battery drawer.
Granted, I had 3 small bins for all my batteries, but they happened to get mixed up when my kids would go looking for batteries. So, I needed a better system.
I finally found one that was perfect. Here is a link to it. It was under $20. They also sell a pack of two in case you have a ton of batteries.

What I love about this battery organizer
First, I love how versatile it is. It can be hung on a wall (which is what I did), or placed in a drawer.
I also really liked how many batteries and the variety of batteries it can hold. Buying batteries in bulk saves me time and money. I usually buy AmazonBasics batteries in packs of 100. I really like the AA and the AAA options.

Third, it has a built-in battery tester. So many times my kids leave batteries around that house that I am unsure if they are good or bad. I can easily test the batteries on this organizer.
Lastly, I have begun to realize how many devices need batteries. My kids often come to me and ask to change the batteries in their CD player, flashlight, remote control, sound machine, holiday train, or Playaway book reader.
As a result, I have taught my own kids how to open their devices, identify the battery needed, and how to install them in their device. This has really been a great teaching moment and time saver for my wife and me.
