Travel toiletry bags for kids

We travel a lot over the summer, and this is my number one tip for simplifying the packing process.

I have four toiletry bags that are, for the most part, always packed and ready to go for my kids.

Boys’ toiletries
Girls’ toiletries
Travel medicine
Hair care

The key is that I don’t really ever unpack or repack these bags. They need to be checked, and sometimes refilled. But other than that, I always have them packed, ready to go for the next trip.

It makes packing so much easier because I can basically grab each one and toss it into my kid’s suitcases without a second glance.

The bags

I use these clear, zippered pouches, (available in 2 different sizes) which I labeled with my Cricut Joy. I like that they’re clear, which makes it a little easier to see whether I have everything I need at a glance.

Girls’ Toiletry Bag

Both of my daughters share all of their toiletries. Here’s what is usually included in their bag:

Shampoo
Conditioner
Body wash (all in travel-sized containers)
Lotion
Dental floss and flossers
Toothbrushes (they each have travel toothbrushes that they only use on trips)
Toothpaste
Washcloths
Chapstick

Boys’ Toiletry Bag

So far this is just for my toddler, but eventually both boys will share these items:

Shampoo
Body wash
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Fluoride
Washcloths
Flossers
Diaper cream
A comb

Travel Medicine

In this bag, we keep several common medicines and supplies that we think we might need on our travels:

Ibuprofen, Acetaminophen, and allergy medicine for adults
Ibuprofen/Acetaminophen for kids (along with dispensers and a measurement chart)
Benadryl
Cough and cold medicine
A thermometer
Diaper cream
(Not pictured) Band-aides and itch sticks for bug bites
