Summer activities for kids: 10 weeks of ideas

With the summer months quickly approaching, I found myself on Pinterest, typing summer activities for kids into the search bar.

And I found so many fun ideas! So I started collecting the ones that I wanted to try, and putting them into a 10 week calendar. I can’t wait to share it with you!

10 Weeks of summer activities for kids: The calendar

I decided to make each day of the week a different theme, and found a new fun activity to do with my kids for each day. (Don’t worry- nothing too complicated!)

Scroll down to download your own calendar, complete with links and a handy printable supply list.

Daily activity themes:

When you follow this calendar, you’ll have a chance to do a different kind of activity on each day of the week. Here are the activity themes:

  • Science Sunday: Easy, fun science experiments to do at home.
  • Mix it up Monday: Do something you’ve done before… but in a new way! Take a bath… with glow sticks. Have a sleepover in your own living room. Or take a walk IN a creek!
  • Tasty Tuesday: Try a new summery snack.
  • Artwork Wednesday: Fun and easy art projects that the whole family will enjoy.
  • Thoughtful Thursday: Reach out to your community and do something kind to help others.
  • Fun in the Sun Friday: Fun outdoor activity ideas that you can do in your own backyard.
  • Story time Saturday: Read a book, and do an activity that goes along with the story.

The supply list:

Included with your download is a printable supply list. The list is divided by weeks, so you can prepare for an entire week of fun all at once.
