We recently organized our overflowing pile of instruction manuals and warranty information. It was super simple, and it feels good to know that the next time we need a certain manual, we won’t have to search or dig for it.
If you’re looking for an easy organizing win, this is it!
All it takes is a few big three ring binders and a pile of clear page protectors. So easy.
We decided to use three binders: One for large household appliances, like our dishwasher and washing machine. Another for small household appliances, like our pressure cooker or espresso machine. The last one is for all of our tools and other yard and garage items- like the lawn mower.

These three binders are easy to store standing up on a shelf in our basement. We labeled the binder spines so that we can quickly see and pull down just the one that we need.
Inside each binder, we have a bunch of page protectors with an instruction manual in each sleeve. We don’t keep every instruction manual by the way- only ones that we think we might need again one day.
And that’s pretty much it! I love how they turned out, and how simple this little project was.
And I love that we got a messy box of papers picked up, organized, and into binders. Now all of that information is easy to look through, and we’ll actually be able to find what we’re looking for when we need to!
Happy organizing, and thanks for reading!
