How to make a Father’s Day video with the kids

Last year, when Emma was two years old, and Kate was 5 months, I decided to interview them about their dad in order to make a special Father’s Day video.

It was so easy, and so fun- definitely something that we are going to make a yearly tradition. As Father’s Day approaches, I thought I would share last year’s Father’s Day video with you, and give you a list of great questions to ask your kids if you want to make your own interview video.

Last Year’s Father’s Day video

I’m so glad I decided to include Kate in the video even though she wasn’t talking yet. She ended up being pretty funny.

The questions we used to make this Father’s Day video:

  1. What is your favorite thing to do with Daddy?
  2. What is your favorite thing about Daddy?
  3. What is Daddy’s name?
  4. What is Daddy’s job?
  5. What is Daddy really good at?
  6. How tall is Daddy?
  7. What is Daddy’s favorite food?
  8. What does Daddy like to do the most?
  9. What was Daddy like when he was a kid?
  10. What is something that Daddy always says to you?

(I also made sure to get a clip of Emma saying “I love you!” and “Happy Father’s Day!”)

Other possible questions for your Father’s Day video:

  1. How old is Daddy?
  2. What is your favorite thing about Daddy?
  3. What makes Daddy happy? What makes him sad?
  4. What makes Daddy laugh?
  5. What does Daddy look like?
  6. What is something really funny that your Daddy does?
  7. How are you and Daddy alike? How are you different?

Good luck making your own Father’s Day video interview, and be sure to click here to see our newest Father’s Day video. 😉 Have fun!
