When I signed my kids up for sports, I didn’t realize that it meant we would either be eating dinner at 4:00, or at 9:00 pm!
Evenings with sports practices and games can make eating dinner as a family tough. Which is why I decided to make a list of over 100 easy sports night dinners.
These ideas are broken down into 3 categories:
1. Crock pot dinners: You can make these dinners ahead of time, and they’ll be ready (or mostly ready) for you to eat when you finally make it home.
2. Quick dinners: These are dinner ideas that take 15 minutes of less to make, OR they can be prepped ahead of time, and finished very quickly when you get home.
3. Take-along dinners: These are meals you can make and take with you. Kids can eat in the car, if you’re not opposed to that. Younger siblings (and parents!) can eat at the game or practice.
Want to make meal planning easier? Just print out this list of Easy Sports Night Dinner Ideas and put it up on your fridge:

These baskets and parchment paper are such a fun option for dinners on-the-go. They make it easy to serve up meals like chicken fingers, wraps, or sandwiches to your family. Toss your sides right into the basket, too.
The aluminum foil sheets make it easy to keep warm finger foods (like hot dogs) warm until they’re ready to be eaten.
Clean up is a breeze: Just toss the paper and stack the baskets for next time.
Bento Boxes
Bento boxes are great for serving a variety of foods. (They’re perfect for homemade lunchables or snack dinners!) Here are a few of my personal favorites:
