Weekly baby bump pictures: 20 ideas to inspire

Weekly baby bump pictures are such a fun way to keep your friends and family updated on your pregnancy, and to document this special time. It’s also fun to look back and see how much your body has changed throughout your pregnancy.

Today I’m sharing my favorite 20 baby bump picture ideas, so that you can be inspired for your own photo shoots.

(By the way, be sure to check out my own baby bump pictures here!)

Ready to be inspired? Here we go!

No. 1

Source: Ryan and Brittany Worthen

Brittany’s husband took a picture of her every week in their nursery, and included a Bible verse for each photo. I love how they turned out!

No. 2

Source: A Hopeful Hood

Julie points out that silhouettes are perfect for bumpdate photos because you don’t have to worry about having your hair or makeup perfectly done. Brilliant. And the pictures are so cute!

No. 3

Source: Angie’s Nest

I like Angie’s use of props and captions on some of her photos, but not all. Since she had the same shirt on for every picture, and used the same graphic to show the number of weeks, it’s still a very cohesive look.

No. 4

Source: These Early Two

If you are artsy, why not try your hand at some chalkboard art? You can also add the number of weeks and a fun fact or two each time you snap a photo.

No. 5

Source: A Modern Mom

I love Carly’s pictures, both for the beautiful mom and the beautiful background that she used. Be sure to click on the source link to read her story of being pregnant with twins!

No. 6

Source: Nurse Loves Farmer

Sarah was so creative with these pictures- she kept a number theme throughout, so all the facts during each week are given in a number format. She has a few different sets of pictures on her website, so be sure to check them out. I also love how her Baby Story App pictures turned out!

No. 7

Source: Actually Ashley

I really like how Ashley kept the same dress in every photo, but switched out her shoes and accessories. So cute!

No. 8

Source: Merrick’s Art

Here’s another example where the dress is always the same, but the accessories change. This one is super simple- no added facts or notes, just the number of weeks. Which may very well be the key for getting yourself to actually take the photographs each week! Keep is simple, mama.

No. 9

Source: How to Paint the Sky

Tiffany took her own baby bump photos, and look how great they turned out! No need to drag out the tripod or get your husband to snap the photos for you. 😉

No. 10

Source: The Arbachs

If you can’t decide what you want to do with your hands and arms in your baby bump photos, you can always switch it up every week. 😉

No. 11

Source: Seeing Sunshine

I’m really loving how Tiffany took each of her pictures in a different location. She ended up with such an interesting and colorful collage! (Make sure to check out the source link to see which app she used for the graphics.)

No. 12

Source: Megan Nielsen Design Diary

Megan says that she’s glad she took these photos each week because it’s so fun to look back and see how much her belly changed. With the white background, and the same pose and outfit in each picture, it makes it super easy to see the progression.

No. 13

Source: Morgan Henderson Photography

I think it’s so fun that Morgan included her dog in these pictures. Be sure to check out her baby and tree project, too! What a fun idea.

No. 14

Source: Live it Love it Blog it

There’s a lot to love about these baby bump photos. The fruit and vegetable comparisons, the unique “looking down” perspective, and the different backgrounds that showcase all of the travels this couple took during the pregnancy. I love it!

No. 15

Source: Photography by Jodi Lynn

I love the soft colors and the props used to here to symbolize different milestones. These baby bump photos are beautiful and feminine.

No. 16

Source: Harlow Bliss Photography

Here’s another example of soft, beautiful photos with just a few subtle props.

Source: At Home with Natalie

Natalie actually combined these photos with notes from her to her baby in order to create a unique baby book. What a fun idea.

No. 18

Source: Missy Sue

The striking thing about these photos is really Missy’s incredible braids. Her website is full of tutorials for those, so check it out!

No. 19

Source: Jaclyn Hughes

Jaclyn does a fantastic job of documenting her baby bump by comparing the size of the baby to fruits and veggies. You can tell she’s having fun during these photo shoots!

No. 20

Source: Diary of a Mad Crafter

I love the fun, informative graphics that go along with these pictures. Perfect for keeping friends and family updated on your pregnancy.
