- Make a card to send to a community helper
- Gratitude A-Z activity
- Watch Madame Blueberry– A VeggieTales movie all about being grateful for what what you have
- Pray and thank God for the blessings He has given us
- Take a thankful walk- Watch and listen for all the things you are grateful for as you walk
- Facetime a relative- Tell them how grateful you are to have them in your life.
- Tell someone why you’re thankful for them
- Before bed, share what was the best part of your day
- Sing a Bible verse
- Play the MM gratitude game
- Make a thankful turkey
Acts of kindness
And, of course, one of the best ways to be grateful for what you have is to help others. Here are a few of the acts of kindness included on the gratitude calendar:
- Do a chore without being asked
- Give a compliment
- Donate books or toys
- Donate to a food bank
- Write a letter for Operation Gratitude
- Bake a fall treat to give away
- Draw a picture to give away
- Try to go all day without complaing
- Share your toys with a sibling or friend
- Collect coins for a Salvation Army bucket
- Put out snacks or drinks for your delivery drivers
