My 2 year old loves his toddler cleaning kit.
And he always gets really excited when I pull out cleaning supplies, because he wants to help!
So I decided to create his very own kit with supplies that I found at the dollar store.
I love how it turned out, and he’s been having so much fun using it.
Here are the cleaning supplies that I included:
- A small cleaning caddy
- Duster
- Scrub brush
- Microfiber cleaning towels
- Antibacterial wipes (safe for face and hands)
- A spray bottle
- A mini dust brush and pan
- Dusting mitt
This entire kit cost me about $10.
And there are no pretend or toy supplies- everything can be used for actual cleaning! 🙌
Andrew loved helping me pick out all these supplies at the dollar store.
And he really couldn’t wait to help me put everything in the caddy and get started cleaning!
Tip: If you have a child-safe all purpose cleaner, you could use that in the spray bottle. Otherwise, just fill it with water. 😉
The next time I needed to do a little cleaning, I also pulled out Andrew’s toddler cleaning kit, and we cleaned together.
He loved it!
He scrubbed the bathroom sink, dusted and wiped down all the furniture in the living room, and the windowsills.
Then he washed windows, mirrors, and learned how to use a dustpan and brush.
Also, check out those motor skills! He feels included in what I’m doing, and I get a chance to get some cleaning done while he’s happily busy. Win win.
Does your toddler love to clean with you? If so, I definitely recommend creating your own toddler cleaning kit.
Have fun, and thanks for reading!
