Dear Santa: A Lift-the-Flap Book

The Itsy Bitsy Snowman
by Jeffrey Burton
You can sing this story to the tune of The Itsy Bitsy Spider, which Andrew always gets a big kick out of!

by Jane Yolen & Mark Teague
We love all of the books in this series. Even though he’s only a year old, my son is already a big fan of dinosaurs, and this book is short enough to hold his attention!

Is It Christmas Yet?
by Jane Capman
This one, even though it is available as a board book, is a little bit longer than some of the others on this list. But it’s such a cute story, that I would definitely recommend it, especially for older toddlers.

Who is Coming To our House?
by Joseph Slate
Toddlers will love to see all of the barnyard animals, and hear what they say while waiting for Mary and Joseph to come to “their house!”

The Mitten
by Jan Brett
We love the board book version of this classic story. It’s not actually a Christmas book, technically, but it fits right in with the season. 😉

Llama Llama Holiday Drama
by Anna Dewdney
As a parent, I appreciate how hard it is for my kids to wait for Christmas. I think this book is delightful!

Llama Llama Jingle Bells
by Anna Dewdney
This Llama Llama book is a slightly shorter, faster-paced read for the littlest readers.

Elmer’s Christmas
by David McKee
This book is also slightly on the longer side. But if you love the Elmer books, I would definitely recommend it- especially for older toddlers.

Ten on the Sled
by Kim Norman
This book is silly and fun. Andrew likes it when I sing the whole story. It fits to the tune of Ten in the Bed.

Christmas in the Manger
by Nola Buck
This is a simple and sweet retelling of the original Christmas story. I love having this one in our collection.

Pip and Posy and the Christmas Tree
by Axel Scheffler
What happens when Pip eats all of the decorations off of the Christmas tree? This story is a fun one.
