Getting ready for any outing with kids can be a lot of work.
Packing for a week-long trip with kids can seem downright impossible.
But, luckily, a little organization goes a long way when you’re planning out your vacation. I have a bunch of checklists and resources that will help you get organized from the very beginning. Here are 4 lists you need to get packed up and ready to go to the beach with kids.
I have three kids, 5 and under, and I swear by these lists. It’s the only way I ever leave the house for any trip.
Printable packing checklists
I’ve included links to download each list separately, or you can enter your email address here and I’ll email you everything, in one easy link. In addition, I will send you two extra checklists: a shopping list to keep track of items you need to purchase before you leave, and a meal planner that you can use to plan out your vacation meals.
Packing with young kids: The complete printable set
1. To-do list
This list breaks down everything you need to do, and when to do it, in order to be ready to leave for a vacation. For example, 1 week (or more) before you leave, you should complete tasks such as stopping your mail and newspaper, and asking a friend or neighbor to take care of plants or pets while you’re gone. Shop for food and snacks 2 days before. Etc.

If you will be spending a lot of time in the car or a plane in order to get to your destination, you’ll want to start planning out some entertainment options. This checklist will help you keep all your thoughts organized.

4. Beach packing list
In addition to the packing checklists above, there are certain things that you’ll want to bring along if you are headed to the beach with a baby and/or toddler. You’ll find all of those additional items in this list.
This checklist is also handy to stick in your suitcase, so that you can pack a beach bag with all the essentials each morning before you head for the sand.
