If you are creating a baby registry on Amazon, did you know that you can create a personal greeting that will appear at the top of your registry page anytime anyone looks at it?
This is a great opportunity to thank whoever is visiting your list, and to share pertinent information- like your nursery theme and your baby’s name/gender.

How to add a baby registry greeting on Amazon
If you want to add a personal welcome message to your registry, here’s how you can do it:
- Visit your registry (Hover over account and lists, then click on baby registry.)
- On the left-hand side, click on menu, then registry settings.
- Find the box that says Add a greeting to friends and family at the top of your registry.
- Type your greeting and save changes at the bottom of the screen.
Note: If you’re using the Amazon app on your phone, click on registry settings, then on the link for a little bit more about you.
5 things to include in your welcome message
Amazon has a 500 character limit for your baby registry greeting, so you have to be thoughtful about what you want to include in your message. Here are a few things to consider including:
Thank you
Tell your family and friends how grateful you are. You can say thank you for visiting your baby registry, and tell them how much you appreciate their love and support.
Nursery theme or colors
If you’re sticking to a specific color scheme, or you want to decorate your nursery with a particular theme, you can share that information here.
Gender and/or name of baby
You can also let everyone know if you would prefer to receive gender-neutral baby items.
Preferences regarding toys, books, and clothes
Would you love to build up your baby’s library without adding specific books to your registry? Just make a note in your welcome message that you would treasure gifts of favorite childhood books. You can make similar notes about toys or clothes in lieu of actually adding those items to your registry.
How excited you are for everyone to meet your new baby
Let everyone know that they are a meaningful part of your life, and you can’t wait to introduce them to the new baby soon!

Welcome to our baby registry! You’ll notice that all of the items listed are gender-neutral, because we’re waiting to be surprised on the big day. We are beyond excited to meet our little bundle of joy, and can’t wait to introduce him or her to you as well. We’re so grateful for you. -Laura & Kevin

Thank you so much for visiting our baby registry, and helping us get ready for Baby Andrew. You might notice that we haven’t added any books to our registry- that’s because we would love for you to help us by picking your favorites to add to Andrew’s library.
